Over the course of this week, three different press releases from NameMedia were sent to us. All of them are about partnerships with large Asian registrars that will now feature AfternicDLS listed names. Here are the details:

• NameMedia and HiChina Announce Strategic Asia-Pac Marketing Partnership (I actually remember working with HiChina at one point while I was working at Tucows.)
• NameMedia Partners with Xin Net, Expands Asia-Pac Presence with Domain Distribution Agreement
• NameMedia’s AfternicDLS and China Springboard Announce Strategic Domain Marketing Partnership (I’ve always enjoyed meeting the China Springboard team at conferences.)

It looks like NameMedia is focusing on expanding into the ever growing Asian marketplace. A good strategic move. As far as I can tell AfternicDLS does currently not list IDNs in their native language/character set, so that might be an additional feature to introduce to their platform.
